About Us
We are a dedicated group of forensic scientists committed to advancing the education and training of law enforcement personnel, and local college and high school students.
The purpose of SAFFTE
Our organization provides FREE education and training for law enforcement officials seeking to expand their knowledge of the field of forensic firearms analysis. Our outreach encompasses K-12 educational programs, collegiate/trade programs, law enforcement, and public speaking engagements across the North Texas Region.
The structure of SAFFTE
SAFFTE is a 501c(3) non-profit organization that is solely funded by donations. It is comprised of a Board of Directors and a Host Committee. The Board of Directors oversees the business operations and serves as advisors to the host committee. The Host Committee consists of one committee chair and several volunteers who pledge their time to develop the conference agenda, and seek donations and sponsorships. Together, the Board of Directors and Host Committee strive to provide quality forensic training for the North Texas region.
